JMIC Director Elisabeth Eide made a presentation about freedom of expression and media freedom in Egypt in the Norwegian Parliament Tuesday 15 January.
JMIC was invited by The Standing Committee on Defense and Foreign Relations
The situation in Egypt was also the focus of the presentation of Bjørn Olav Utvik, Head of Department of Middle East Studies at the University of Oslo
Associate Professor at the Department of Middle East Studies at the University of Oslo, Joakim Parslow, spoke about the situation in Turkey.
Freedom of speech in Turkey was the theme of the presentation of Hege Newth Nouri, Secretary General in Norwegian PEN.
