International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT) presented the bookTransnational Othering – Global Diversities, Media, Extremism and Free Expression during the conference Women journalists fight back! in Manila in the Philippines 7 November.
IAWRT president Violet Gonda and Lynda Catindig-Garcia, newly elected president of the Philippine chapter of IAWRT, showed the book to the audience.
They also showed a video where Abeer Saady – vice president of IAWRT and one of the contributors – talked to the conference participants about the book.
IAWRT has just launched a new international office in Quezon city in the Philippines. The official launch was part of the Women Journalists Fight Back forum 7 November. More information
