Making transparency possible

Joseph Stiglitz was one of the key speakers at the 3rd Making Transparency Possible conference – Interdisciplinary dialogues 2019 which took place at OsloMet Monday 18 March.
Stiglitz is a University Professor at Columbia University and winner of the 2001 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics. He was introduced by Kalle Moene, Professor of Economics at the University of Oslo.
The other keynote speaker was Anya Schiffrin, Director of Technology, Media and Communication specialization of Columbia University.
The research conference focused on financial secrecy and the impact of investigative journalism and cross-border collaboration on the public understanding of illicit financial flows.
The publication of a new book on investigative journalism and illicit financial flows was also announced at the conference.
